OH HAPPY DAY!

Just another day? Well sure it may be for you , but today is a day of grieving for some we know. Life is so fragile, be sure you know that no matter what you are doing or where you are going, you have a right relationship with Jesus. It is paramount that you do.

I pray for the family that just lost their daughter. She is now in heaven rejoicing with Jesus, how do I know, well she had that personal relationship with Jesus.

This little poem I wrote for my sister when her daughter past and now I share it here:

A little light in this
World has seemed to be snuffed out,
But she is now with Jesus
Running jubilantly
Leaping and praising God
Forever in eternity.
No more will she suffer
No more will there be pain
Now, as we who are left
Can carry on her light and
Love For life
And cling to the day
We will see her again.

Here is a song that we can sing in celebration knowing our loved one is with Jesus!

Verse 1:
The greatest day in history, Death is beaten
You have rescued me
Sing it out Jesus is alive
The empty cross, The empty grave
Life eternal You have won the day
Shout it out Jesus is alive
He's alive

Chorus:
Oh happy day, happy day
You washed my sin away
Oh happy day, happy day
I'll never be the same
Forever I am changed

Verse 2:
When I stand, in that place
Free at last, meeting face to face
I am Yours Jesus You are mine
Endless joy, perfect peace
Earthly pain finally will cease
Celebrate Jesus is alive
He's alive

Chorus:
Oh happy day, happy day
You washed my sin away
Oh happy day, happy day
I'll never be the same OH NO
Forever I am changed

I'll Love You Forever

Somthing for my Precious Lorie!!
You and I are connected
in a way that goes beyond romance,
beyond friendship,
beyond what we've ever had before.
It has defied time, distance,
and changes in ourselves
and in our lives.
It has defied every explanation.
Except one:
Pure and simply, we're soul mates.

I can't explain, I just feel it.
It's there in the way my spirits lift
whenever we talk.
The sound of your voice brings me home,
in a way I can't explain.
It's in the delight I feel, when we laugh
at exactly the same things.
When I'm with you,
it's like a tiny piece of the universe
shifts into place.
A place it's supposed to be,
and all is right with the world.

These things and so many more,
that this is a once in a lifetime,
forever connection.
A connection that could only exist
between you and me.
And deep in my soul,
I know that our relationship
is a rare gift.
One that brings us
extraordinary happiness
all through our lives.

A little about nothing!

When nothing comes to write it is hard to post just anything. I was going to post all of Zechariah 8, but you can read it for yourself. I then was remembering the times when I was Young, but yet nothing. So I thought I would just give you my thought on nothing. So when the sun rises and you wake up what do you think of for the first moment you open your eyes. Me I think of can I get out of this bed without waking my gorgeous wife, sometimes it works then sometime it doesn't.
I get up and go to shower and brush the morning breath away, I don't know about you but I offend myself with my own morning breath, anyway I then get a coffee and come here to write this blog.

I know your thinking wow what and exciting morning, well let me tell you something, sometimes I brush my teeth first, before I shower and sometimes after I shower, you know just a way to mix things up.

Anyway Have a great day!!

What do you do?

We go on day afterday, what we do in that day is of consequence. We may stub our toe and then we swear. Or we may get stuck in traffic and curse when the other drivers dont drive like you think they should. Then when you are just sitting thinking you may find yourself in a state of impure thoughts.
There is a way to rectify that. If you live your life for Jesus and be in prayer always, He will guide you and you will find you dont do what you have in the past. I mean you, with His help, will be able to control what you did before.

I know when I have some things that I cant control it really helps to pray and ask Jesus for the help, in those types of areas, I need and He is most gracious to give it. Now I have to be willing.

Keep living for Him and he will direct your paths.

He could have called ten thousand angels!

What a weekend! It was busy yes, but you know to see the outcome of our Giving church, again I say wow.
This was the best Global Focus yet! I think we should all stand up and applaud!

God is so good to us. We need not look any further that Jesus for the answer. He is always there. I see that many struggle, but what are out little struggles when you see how there are those in the world who actually live for Jesus, but in doing so could loose there lives, Are you ready to die for your Saviour? It is a hard questions to answer and yet it is so simple. When you live you life and give yourself totally to Jesus Christ, you will have no answer but, "yes I will live for Him totally".

It takes guts, the you found out a  sampling of what it would mean by experiencing a sampling of a underground church, even if it wasn't real it gave them a respect and a realization of what could be required of them to serve Jesus. We may all be called into service and we need to be sure we are ready to speak!

Are you ready? If you were called right now to go into a dangerous situation, that might cost you your life, would you be ready. I know I have to look at myself to see if I am ready.

Just remember this, Jesus died for our sins and He was beaten and bruised for us.

He could have called ten thousand angels.

They bound the hands of Jesus in the garden where he pray
They led him through the street in shame
They spat upon the Saviour so pure and free from sin
They said crucify him he's to blame.

He could have called ten thousand angels
To destroy the world and set him free
He could have called ten thousand angels
But he died alone for you and me.

Upon his precious head they placed a crown of thorns
They laughed and said behold the king
They struck him and they cursed him and mocked his holy name
And all alone he suffered everything.

He could have called ten thousand angels
To destroy the world and set him free
He could have called ten thousand angels
But he died alone for you and me...

This is a song I heard as a child and it still has an impact. Here is a link to hear it.

Computers!

You know when all things are going well you will find that the enemy puts things in your path for you to loose you "glory" so to speak. Yesterday I had a major issue with my desktop computer and I had to reinstall everything. So hence the reason for missing the blog yesterday. My Apologies.

Other than the melt down all things work together for good. You know that you have the ability to just keep on rejoicing when things go badly. You do not have to loose your cool or you do not have to have issues with anything, but just keep you eyes on the one whom you love with your whole heart and He will keep you driving correctly. Will you be able to keep it up. Well I have learned that you will not be able to on your own. You need His guidance and perfect peace in order to keep it up. Jesus is the one who can walk you down the right path but you still have a choice which path to take. He will not stop you from making the wrong choice but if you keep living for Him here will keep on guiding you.

God bless you all this wonderful day!

EXUBERANT HAPPINESS

When you look at today it should be a day filled with exuberant happienes. Why you ask. Well you woke up on the top side of the grass. You are still breathing. This is something to be excieted about. You have been given another day to live your life. You have been given another opportuninty to serve. How you will spend your day is of your own doing.

You can spend it complaining or you could spend it rejoicing you have another chance to share with your friends. You can choose to do what you want. How will you spend it. Lets all have a great day.

Here is a question for you: ( this does not relate to anything)

What is the origin of April Fools Day?

There are several explanations for the origin of April Fools' Day, but the following is the most plausible one. April 1st was once New Year's Day in France. In 1582, Pope Gregory declared the adoption of his Gregorian calendar to replace the Julian calendar and New Year's Day was officially changed to January 1st. It took some time for everyone in France to hear the news of this major change, and others obstinately refused to accept the new calendar, so a lot of people continued to celebrate New Year's Day on the first of April - earning them the name 'April fools'. The April fools were subjected to ridicule and practical jokes and the tradition was born. The butts of these pranks were first called poisson d'avril or 'April fish' because a young naive fish is easily caught. A common practice was to hook a paper fish on the back of someone as a joke. This evolved over time and a custom of prank-playing continues on the first day of April.

Barren of Love

I wrote this for My most precious Love Lorie
Barren of Love

If my heart was to be barren of love
I would find that you would be my oasis
If my heart was to be broken and not repaired
I would find that you would be there to repair it
If I find that my heart was oh so cold
I would feel the warmth of your embrace to warm it

You’re my dream come true
You’re my bright shining star
You’re my sweet embrace
You’re my hearts desire
You’re my love and my friend
You will always be…my love

I wish that forever and ever
You and I will be together
That you and I would last forever
Through out eternity our love will last
And when eternity comes we will be together
You’re my dream come true

You’re my bright shining star
You’re my hearts desire
You’re my love and my friend
You will always be… my love

When we live that life as friends and lovers
We may find it become boring
My sweet desire, my love for you will never be boring
Each day brings a new adventure
Each day brings me to the point of loving you more
Each day satisfies me knowing you love me

You’re my dream come true
You’re my bright shining star
You’re my hearts desire
You’re my love and my friend
You will always be… my love

Timing

I find myself at times forgetting to include my Savior in my daily activities, this is a result of being too busy.

I have to concentrate on Him in order to make my day complete.

If I take the time needed to have my relationship with Him at the forefront everything would seamlessly (at least it would appear seamless if I am not trying to control everything).

It is too easy to just get up and rush your day without spending time with the Lord. I want to be able to, no matter where I am, to spend my time with the Lord and commit it all to Him.

Rights and Wrongs

So as I am sitting here thinking about my day I can see that there were times I could have done something different. Should I have done it this way or that? Or perhaps nothing at all. I can make your mind do crazy things. So what I think needs to be done is when you find yourself in that state you need to thank God for the proper decision you made or you need to ask forgiveness for the wrong decision you made.

Whatever the case you can rest knowing that we have a forgiving God.

There is comfort in knowing that Jesus died for those wrongs in our lives and He rejoices for those rights.

So we can know that love of Jesus and experience that joy He has when we live out our live serving Him and Loving him.
Thank you Jesus for you love and forgiveness. You are so Amazing.

Can You Come Down?

This is good.
“While ye have light, believe in the light.”
John 12:36

We all have moments when we feel better than our best, and we say - "I feel fit for anything; if only I could be like this always!" We are not meant to be. Those moments are moments of in sight which we have to live up to when we do not feel like it. Many of us are no good for this workaday world when there is no high hour. We must bring our commonplace life up to the standard revealed in the high hour.

Never allow a feeling which was stirred in you in the high hour to evaporate. Don't put your mental feet on the mantelpiece and say - "What a marvellous state of mind to be in!" Act immediately, do something, if only because you would rather not do it. If in a prayer meeting God has shown you something to do, don't say - "I'll do it"; do it! Take yourself by the scruff of the neck and shake off your incarnate laziness. Laziness is always seen in cravings for the high hour; we talk about working up to a time on the mount. We have to learn to live in the grey day according to what we saw on the mount.

Don't cave in because you have been baffled once, get at it again. Burn your bridges behind you, and stand committed to God by your own act. Never revise your decisions, but see that you make your decisions in the light of the high hour.

A new bed

Anticipation sets in… you are going to get a good night’s rest finally. You look at the old bed and wonder did I make the right choice? You think well if I don’t like it I can always return it. If you need to. A new bed is only an item, but you think of the length of time you find yourself laying in that bed. If you calculate it would be 2920 hours sleeping (based on 8 hours a night). Wow there is only 8760 hours in a given year. Wow do we ever sleep a lot.

Any way a new bed is just a bed, but your heart should be renewed every day. Given to the man upstairs, Jesus.

God bless you this day!

Today is the Day!

So I want to know is you were able to "PAY IT FORWARD" yesterday? If you missed the opportunity you can start today!!

Did you know that today is the day we can live forever? It is true! Just think of this you will not have to worry about dying. Living forever can have its rewards. Can you imagine? How long is forever? Well let's think.... I have lived for 47 + years, my kids say I am ancient... But 47 is not forever, so how long is it? I guess we will never know.

To live forever what will you have to do? Well first of all you need to examine your life, second you need to evaluate what is missing in your life. And third you need to give your life to live for someone rather than yourself.

What am I saying? Well your life is not your own. It is a gift to you, sort of like paying it forward. A gift given to you by God.

How do you live forever you ask, well you first off have to ask God's Son Jesus into your life by doing this your life will change and you will have everlasting life.

John 3:16 - 18 says:
16"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
17"For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
18"He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

So you see what you have to do to have that everlasting life. You need to ask Jesus to come into your life and you need to give your whole life to Him. Everything for Everlasting. You give everything to Him and in return He will give you everlasting life.

Pray this: ' Jesus, I confess I am a sinner and I need to have you in my life, I give up my former ways and give my life to you. I want to have you in my life, Jesus, and I accept you into my heart as my Savior, I turn from all my worldly ways and turn to you. Thank you Jesus for making me free!

If you prayed that prayer WELCOME TO EVERLASTING LIFE! If you have not and are undecided there is no such a time as this. Remember Jesus Payed it forward by giving His life for you, now you can give your life to Him and have everlasting life.

Let me know if you have prayed this prayer. God Bless

"PAY IT FORWARD"

Pay it forward!! Great Movie. Katherine spoke about being a generous people ( can be heard here http://www.harvestcity.sk.ca/messages/index.htm ).

We as people should think of ourselves as very blessed. We go through life and sometime we have the entitlement attitude. What I mean by this is that we think we deserve everything we can get. It is out right!
I do not think it is. Yes we are blessed to have what we do, however when you look around you own city and even country there are plenty of reasons "To Pay It Forward".

When you are going through out your day look for opportunities "To Pay It Forward". How you ask well an couple of examples are: when you are at the mall and you see someone wanting to make a purchase and they are short just a few dollars, give them the dollars needed. Then tell them to "Pay It Forward".
Or if your neighbour is working hard to clean his yard go over and give a hand. Don't expect anything in return, just do the work.

We come across so many different opportunities in a day.

My wife was raking the yard yesterday (while I was taking down sound at church) and our neighbour came over and helped her by using a leaf vacuum to suck up the grass. He did not ask for anything He just did it. Wow.

Starting this Monday (today) look for the opportunity to "Pay It Forward". You will find that your day will be blessed and you will feel great that you were able to help someone today.

The Bad Day

You know it seemed that everyone had a bad day on Wednesday April 8th. I am not sure why that is but let's speculate. We woke up in the morning just like we usually do as we got ready for the day nothing was different. The day seemed to be like any other.
Well in talking to a number of people everything seemed to be going not like it should. While at work people were not happy. The day just went like that all day and into the evening.

What was wrong...I cannot say as I do not know. I know that it got better when I closed my eyes to go to sleep.

Thursday was much better. Things at work were better people all around me seemed to be better than the previous day.

We can learn from this. When we wake up in the morning we can give the day to Jesus and not let ourselves get down. Dot let things bother us, easy to say I know. We need to pray and ask Jesus for the better day and then truly give it to Him to handle. Trying to fix it on our own does not seem to work.

So today is Friday and all is well. Pray and give this day to Jesus.

God Bless

The Father's Eyes

The Father's Eyes

Bob Richards, the former pole-vault champion, shares a moving story about a skinny young boy who loved football with all his heart. Practice after practice, he eagerly gave everything he had. But being half the size of the other boys, he got absolutely nowhere. At all the games, this hopeful athlete sat on the bench and hardly ever played.

This teenager lived alone with his father, and the two of them had a very special relationship. Even though the son was always on the bench, his father was always in the stands cheering. He never missed a game.
This young man was still the smallest of the class when he entered high school. But his father continued to encourage him but also made it very clear that he did not have to play football if he didn't want to. But the young man loved football and decided to hang in there. He was determined to try his best at every practice, and perhaps he'd get to play when he became a senior.

All through high school he never missed a practice nor a game, but remained a bench warmer all four years. His faithful father was always in the stands, always with words of encouragement for him. When the young man went to college, he decided to try out for the football team as a "walk-on". Everyone was sure he could never make the cut, but he did. The coach admitted that he kept him on the roster because he always puts his heart and soul to every practice, and at the same time, provided the other members with the spirit and hustle they badly needed. The news that he had survived the cut thrilled him so much that he rushed to the nearest phone and called his father. His father shared his excitement and was sent season tickets for all the college games. This persistent young athlete never missed practice during his four years at college, but he never got to play in the game.

It was the end of his senior football season, and as he trotted onto the practice field shortly before the big play off game, the coach met him with a telegram. The young man read the telegram and he became deathly silent. Swallowing hard, he mumbled to the coach, "My father died this morning. Is it all right if I miss practice today?"

The coach put his arm gently around his shoulder and said, "Take the rest of the week off, son. And don't even plan to come back to the game on Saturday. Saturday arrived, and the game was not going well. In the
third quarter, when the team was ten points behind, a silent young man quietly slipped into the empty locker room and put on his football gear. As he ran onto the sidelines, the coach and his players were astounded to see their faithful teammate back so soon.

"Coach, please let me play. I've just got to play today," said the young man. The coach pretended not to hear him. There was no way he wanted his worst player in this close playoff game. But the young man persisted, and finally feeling sorry for the kid, the coach gave in.  "All right," he said. "You can go in". Before long, the coach, the players and everyone in the stands could not believe their eyes. This little unknown, who had never played before was doing everything right.
The opposing team could not stop him. He ran, he passed, blocked and tackled like a star. His team began to triumph. The score was soon tied. In the closing seconds of the game, this kid intercepted a pass and ran
all the way for the winning touchdown. The fans broke loose.

His teammates hoisted him onto their shoulders. Such cheering you never heard!

Finally, after the stands had emptied and the team had showered and left the locker room, the coach noticed that the young man was sitting quietly in the corner all alone. The coach came to him and said, "Kid, I can't believe it. You were fantastic! Tell me what got into you? How did you do it?"
He looked at the coach, with tears in his eyes, and said, "Well, you knew my dad died, but did you know that my dad was blind?' The young man swallowed hard and forced a smile, "Dad came to all my games, but today was the first time he could see me play, and I wanted to show him I could do it!"

Like the athlete's father, God is always there cheering for us. He's always reminding us to go on. He's even offering us His hand for He knows what is best and is willing to give us what we need and not simply what we want. God has never missed a single game. What a joy to know that life is meaningful if lived for the Highest. Live for HIM for He's watching us in the game of life.

CHANGES

CHANGES

In our lives we see many changes
Changes that we have no control over
We may see them coming and be prepared
However, they come and go and we stopped and think
Wow that wasn’t so bad.
Other times we see that the change made
A drastic difference in our lives
May help us in a decision for the good or bad
One thing is for certain
We have to live with it

When we look back at our life of the previous year
We see many many changes
We wonder to ourselves
“What difference did the changes make in our lives”
Did we affect the change to better ourselves?
Or did we affect the change to better someone else

We may look back and see that we had many an opportunity
Consider the paths of people we crossed
Did we tell them of Jesus?
Or did we pass them by
And wonder why we didn’t say anything
And we wonder if they knew or know Christ
We may never know in this life but in the next we sure will find out

As you look into the events of this past year
You may wonder if I wasn’t here what would have been
Did I make a difference or was I just someone in the background where I don’t matter
In the Kingdom of heaven YOU DO matter
All the Angels Rejoiced when you made the decision to follow Christ
So as you see someone made a difference in your life when they told you about Christ
So go out and do the same… tell people, everyone you meet on the street, bus, and plane, and everywhere you go strike up a convo and tell them about your life with Christ

You see there is one thing for sure that we all can count on
And that is that God our Father, His Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit
Are and have been and EVER will be the same
So when you ponder your life you will see that Christ is the same
Yesterday, today and tomorrow
He is the Alpha and the Omega
The Beginning and the Ending

He is your consistency
He is your guide to follow through your life with Him as your guide
Then you won’t have to wonder what your life will be like
Just look to Jesus

POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE....YOU BE THE JUDGE.

Spring is here and we can wake up with sweet anticipation of all things becoming new.
New leaves on the trees,
Baby birds hatching
Flowers Blooming
Grass turning green.

As this spring unfolds into summer think of all the fun and anticipation
think of all the possibilities that may arise.

Living life should be about positives, and how we can accomplish those positives.
this does not mean there won't be bumps, if we view them as opportunities and turn the negative
into positives things will be bright in your day.

Think of this
“You've done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.”
Ralph Marston

How true this is. You think about how much energy it takes to worry or to be frustrated, it wears me out.
We can put all the things, we face in a given day, into a positive then we would end up our day feeling satisfied and we can thank God for this wonderful day and mean it.

God Bless you

The earth the ground
All around
Wonder
Forever do we care?
God is faithful
Every and always
Keep Him love Him
Never let him go

The sky the stars
In the heavens
Wonder
Forever we see the light
The shining star
Under and over

Can we imagine?
How big He is

Presumptuous
Yes we are
That He is not big
To care

Just hanging around
There forever?
Perhaps

We do not dare
Think we are bigger
Never

APRIL 1ST WOW

April 1st. WOW this year is moving along fast.

I reflect on the many wonderful years I have shared with my wonderful wife Lorie. I think of all the good times and how much fun we have together. I anticipate many many years to come to be filled with laughter and love.

I see our children growing into fine young men and I pray GOD take control of their lives and lead them. Jesus help them and be the centre of their lives.

As we move on in life if we just Pray the prayer of Jabez in 1Chronicles 4:10.

"Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that it not be to my sorrow!" God granted him that which he requested.

This is a powerful prayer. We should look at it and study it. Pray it and you will find that if you commit to God your life things could happen.

God I pray that you would bless Clinton and Travis indeed, enlarge Clinton and Travis' border, and that your hand would be with them, and that you would keep them from evil, that it not be to their sorrow!

God Bless you this fine April 1st.
