Kids say the darnedest things!

Whats that they say?
Kids say the darnedest things!
Enjoy
Prayers from Kids

One Sunday in a Midwest city a young child was "acting up" during the
morning worship hour. The parents did their best to maintain some
sense of order in the pew but were losing the battle. Finally the
father picked the little fellow up and walked sternly up the aisle on
his way out. Just before reaching the safety of the foyer the little
one called loudly to the congregation, "Pray for me! Pray for me!"
 *****************************************************************
A daddy was listening to his child say his prayer "Dear Harold". At
this, dad interrupted and said, "Wait a minute -how come you called
God 'Harold'"? The little boy looked up and said, "That's what they
call Him in church. You know the prayer we say, "Our Father, who art
in Heaven, Harold be Thy Name."
 *******************************************************************
And this particular four-year-old prayed: "And forgive us our trash
baskets as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets."
 ********************************************************************
During the minister's prayer one Sunday, there was a loud whistle
from one of the back pews. Gary's mother was horrified. She pinched
him into silence, and after church asked: "Gary, whatever made you
do such a thing?" Gary answered soberly: "I asked God to teach me to
whistle... and He just then did!"
 *********************************************************************
One night Mike's parents overheard this prayer: "Now I lay me down to
rest, and hope to pass tomorrow's test, If I should die before I
wake, that's one less test I have to take."
 *********************************************************************
A five-year-old said grace at family dinner one night. "Dear God,
thank you for these pancakes..." When he concluded, his parents asked
him why he thanked God for pancakes when they were having chicken.
He smiled and said, "I thought I'd see if He was paying attention
tonight."
 *********************************************************************
A little boy's prayer: "Dear God, please take care of my daddy and my
mommy and my sister and my brother and my doggy and me. Oh, please
take care of yourself, God. If anything happens to you, we're gonna
be in a big mess."
 *********************************************************************
A rabbi said to a precocious six-year-old boy: "So your mother says
your prayers for you each night Very commendable. What does she say?"
The little boy replied, "Thank God he's in bed!".
 *********************************************************************
A woman invited some people to dinner. At the table, she turned to
her six- year-old daughter and said, "Would you like to say the
blessing?". "I wouldn't know what to say," the little girl replied.
"Just say what you hear Mommy say," the mother said. The little girl
bowed her head and said, "Dear Lord, why on earth did I invite all
these people to dinner?"
 **********************************************************************
Johnny had been misbehaving and was sent to his room. After a while
he emerged and informed his mother that he had thought it over and
then said a prayer. "Fine", said the pleased mother. "If you ask
God to help you not misbehave, He will help you." "Oh, I didn't ask
Him to help me not misbehave," said Johnny. "I asked Him to help you
put up with me."

Crossroads

Some day we may find ourselves at a crossroads. You have a decision to make. You are not sure which road to take. You dont want to take the wrong road and you dont want to take the easy road, but easy sure sounds fine, but there wont be a challenge.

What are you going to do?
What will happen if you make the wrong choice?

This the point in time when you need to trust on someone who is bigger than you. You need to put your faith in your Creator, The Almighty Healer, Jesus. Ask for his advice and The Holy Spirit will guide you to the right path. The road which God wants you to take.

You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12 (NIV)

Faith is not a hothouse plant that must be shielded from wind and rain, so delicate that it has to be protected, but is like the sturdy oak which becomes stronger with every wind that blows upon it. An easy time weakens faith, while strong trials strengthen it.  Katherine Workman

God Bless you today as you follow His steps.

Arise from the dead . . .—Ephesians 5:14

I Read this this morning and was inspired. Take the Initiative...
Not all initiative, the willingness to take the first step, is inspired by God. Someone may say to you, “Get up and get going! Take your reluctance by the throat and throw it overboard—just do what needs to be done!” That is what we mean by ordinary human initiative. But when the Spirit of God comes to us and says, in effect, “Get up and get going,” suddenly we find that the initiative is inspired.
We all have many dreams and aspirations when we are young, but sooner or later we realize we have no power to accomplish them. We cannot do the things we long to do, so our tendency is to think of our dreams and aspirations as dead. But God comes and says to us, “Arise from the dead . . . .” When God sends His inspiration, it comes to us with such miraculous power that we are able to “arise from the dead” and do the impossible. The remarkable thing about spiritual initiative is that the life and power comes after we “get up and get going.” God does not give us overcoming life—He gives us life as we overcome. When the inspiration of God comes, and He says, “Arise from the dead . . . ,” we have to get ourselves up; God will not lift us up. Our Lord said to the man with the withered hand, “Stretch out your hand” (Matthew 12:13). As soon as the man did so, his hand was healed. But he had to take the initiative. If we will take the initiative to overcome, we will find that we have the inspiration of God, because He immediately gives us the power of life.  Oswald Chambers

I Dream a Dream

I Dream a Dream
I do not remember
I can see you
I can hear you
I do not know

You are calling me
Your are saying something
I see your lips moving
Why am I not listening

I do not understand
It seems I can not move
I try but as I do you are farther away
I call out
But no answer
What is wrong

I wake
wondering
Wondering why this dream
As I try to remember
I try on my own
And yet noting

Through out the day I contemplate
The dream or nightmare
I realize late in the day
You are calling me
Will I answer?

My dream comes clear
You are the one
You are calling me
Calling me to go
GO?
Go to the world
Go to the cities
Go to the nations
Just Go

Yes Jesus I am yours
Take me and Lead me

When Jesus Calls you are you willing to answer the call?
Here am I Lord Take Me!

HOW DO YOU WORSHIP?

How do you worship? Debbie Preached a great message on worship. You can hear Debbie's message at www.harvestcity.sk.ca/messages/index.htm
I was truly impacted by this message, so in my devotions I searched more about worship. This is some of what I found. This is taken from www.allaboutgod.com/worship-c.htm (I used the New Living Translation Bible)
Worship - Spirit and Truth
True worship is God-centered worship. People tend to get caught up in where they should worship, what music they should sing in worship, and how the worship looks to other people. Focusing on these things completely misses the point. Jesus tells us that true worshipers will worship God in spirit and in truth John 4:24
24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
This means we worship from a pure heart!
Worship - The Heart of the Matter
Worship can include praying, reading God's Word with an open heart, singing, participating in communion, and serving others. It's not limited to one act such as serving by setting up the chairs, Ushering, Security, Sound, Sunday School Teacher, but these are done properly when the heart and attitude of the person is in the right place.
Worship - The Heart of David
As far as worship, King David was a phenomenal example for all of us. He had a pure and grateful heart towards God and worshipped Him with the entirety of his being. Many of the Psalms reflect David's passionate heart for worship.
Psalm 92:1-2
1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord,to sing praises to the Most High.
2 It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening,Psalm 18:3a
3. I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise...
Psalm 145:3
3 Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness
David was a man after God's own heart, because he truly glorified God in his heart!
Worship - Glorify and Exalt God!
True worship is not confined to singing in church or open praise, but it is the heartfelt acknowledgment of God and all His power and glory in the things we do. To truly worship God, we must know Him and not be ignorant of His good and glorious nature.
In a nutshell, worship is to glorify and exalt God; to show our loyalty and admiration to our Heavenly Father!
I hope you find this encouraging. Remember to Worship and keep your heart attitude on God and His desires.

A little something for my wife. I LOVE you Lorie

A little something for my wife. I LOVE you Lorie!!

From the heart
I love thee
From the mind I need thee
Oh my love I so want you
To see me and for you to have me
For your heart to love

Look for me deep in your mind
And search your heart to find me
Baby I love the thought of us together
Holding and loving

Walking in the rain and singing together
Falling in love all over and over again
As we gaze into each other’s eyes.

My heart aches when we are apart
I long for the moment in time where our
Touch will stop everything and in that moment
You are the only one I am thinking about

Baby you are my heart and my love
I love you

Remember Jesus is the Reason we live and breath

Some days it is truly hard to find the words to blather on about something. I mean when I sit in front of the computer with a blank look on my face trying to come up with something...sometimes it don't work.
In your live there needs to be daily connection with the one who gave you breath, the one who gave you life, the one who died for you.
Jesus needs to be part of your daily lives. You should concentrate on Him when you are having the blank look part of your day. He will give you the words you need to move and to focus on what the day is to bring.

I woke up late last night praying for someone, I cant remember who, but it was like Jesus just bless this person and guide their footsteps. I like it when I wake up like that... Jesus your so awesome.

God Bless you all today
Remember Jesus is the Reason we live and breath.

Rejoice in the Lord always

Hi all,
This is a teaching I found. Sorry that I didn't write something but my Internet just came back. There was a planned outage.

If you’re feeling anxious or worried about anything today, Philippians 4 is a good place to look for help.

I like this passage because the Apostle Paul, who wrote these truths of God, doesn’t just tell you not to be anxious, he tells you why you don’t need to be anxious; he doesn’t just tell you not to dwell on your problems, but he tells you what to dwell on instead.

And I especially like this passage because Paul didn’t write them while sitting on a grassy hillside at a mountaintop retreat. He wrote them while being held in chains in a first century prison cell, having been beaten, flogged, and facing possible death at any moment. If Paul could learn how to be free from anxiety in a situation like that, then we could learn from him how to deal with our anxious thoughts as well.
Here’s what Paul said:
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:4-7).

Twice he says to “rejoice in the Lord.” Notice that he doesn’t say you have to rejoice about the difficult situation your facing, but to rejoice in the Lord. Rather than trying to minimize what you’re facing, he’s trying to maximize who you’re facing them with: the Lord. And that’s also the reason why you don’t need to be anxious: because “The Lord is at hand.” He’s not a God who’s taken off to some distant land, but He’s actually very close at all times--“at hand”--or within an arm’s reach.

A woman once told me about a time when she was laying in pain on a hospital bed when she looked up to see a cross on the wall. It wasn’t an empty cross--which has a special significance of its own--but it was a cross depicting the agonizing crucifixion of Jesus. While it might seem gruesome to look into the face of a man who is experiencing excruciating pain, for this woman it turned out to be one of the greatest comforts of her life. She was suddenly filled with the realization that Jesus was right there with her, and that He knew exactly what she was going through, bringing her immediate comfort and peace.

Paul also told them what to focus on in the midst of their troubles:
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me--practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you” (Philippians 4:8-9).
It reminds me of the song that Julie Andrews sang in the Rodgers and Hammerstein movie, The Sound of Music. When the children were afraid of the thunder and lightning outside, she sang: “When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I’m feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don’t feel so bad.” For her, some of her favorite things were, “Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens.”

What are some of yours? Or, as Paul asked, what are some things you can think about that are true? Honorable? Just? Pure? Lovely? Commendable? Excellent? Worthy of praise? Think about such things, not just as a technique to distract you from your situation, but as a practical way to put your situation into perspective. For as hard as life can be, there are still things in life which are beautiful and glorious

Paul learned the secret of being content in every situation, whether he had plenty or was in need. How? By continually rejoicing in the Lord, by remembering that God was near, and in everything, making his requests known to God. In one of the most famous verses of the Bible--found at the end of this chapter--Paul said:

“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).

If you’re feeling anxious and worried, read Philippians chapter 4. Learn from Paul and put into practice what you learn. As you do, may the God of peace be with you--and may His peace be yours.

We will run together this race You put before me

Until now I have tried it on my own
until now I have not given all to you
Until now I have been running
But not the race you have given me to run

I have been seeking something for a long time
I have been looking here and there
I have been wondering if there is more

Then I realized its not me but You
I saw that it should no longer be just Me or I
It should be We and You
You have given me my reason for living
for running for seeking
You have given me everything

We will run together this race You put before me
Hand in hand will we walk
You will guide my path
You will be my eyes

Thank you Jesus for giving it all
