The winter days are wonderful

The winter days are wonderful... well I like winter...sort of. Lots of shoveling, lots of shoveling and lots of shoveling. Did I mention there is lots of shoveling?
You know it is winter I know it is winter we all know it is winter, with winter comes many danger, possible frost bite unless you dress warm, possible car wreck, unless your extra cautious, possible slip and fall, unless you walk carefully.
You know how you are careful in winter, one needs to remember to be careful in your Christian walk. Along the way there will be lots of shoveling, what do I mean well think about this, in order to be Christ like you need to dig deep in your heart to clean it out of all the bad stuff!
We need to guard our selves from frost bite as well.We need to cover ourselves with the word of God and keep Jesus the centre of our lives, doing this will not only keep you from getting bitten from the evil one.We also will be protected from a slip and fall, God will give you the grip you need to keep you from slipping when you walk.

Keep in mind that Jesus is the centre.

Now godliness with contentment is great gain.  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.  And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.  But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.  For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Keep on keeping on in Jesus!

I hear people say that all the time. When you think about it why do they? Are they tired of working ? are they tired of the day in and day out of the mundane routine? Getting up getting ready, driving to work, work, drive home, eat supper, watch the news, go to bed, and then start it all over again.
Well may I suggest that looking forward to the weekends is an OK thing to do, however what do you do with your Friday or Saturday or even Sunday? Do you dedicate them to partying, do you dedicated them to your family, or what do you do.

I will make a challenge for all you guys out there with a gorgeous wife at home, Make the weekend about her, Meet her needs, spend time with her, adore  her, make her feel that she is the most important person on the planet.
Your reward will be substantial, and I am not just talking about the physical reward, I am talking about building up your relationship.Build it up to a point where you will be stronger with her by your side.

God is so good to reward those who are faithful in the little things. Keep on keeping on in Jesus!

God Bless you

Hound of Heaven

Because I procrastinated in writing today I borrow this from This Days Thought Email.

The Hound of Heaven calls me to enter into a relationship with Him through which I will find that service is freedom, weakness is strength, humility is power, obedience is liberty and losing life is finding new life.  Such apparent contradictions turn the world’s wisdom upside down; but whenever, timidly and tentatively, I respond to this call, I find a rightness, a truth, a congruity and a peace which passes understanding.

Could never, never sink a ship

Its Good To Go Home

When you seem to be gone for a long period
Its good to go  home
when you seem to be some where very unpleasant
Its good to go home
When you find yourself in a place where nothing seems to work or go you way
Its good to go home
When you think you have it all, but somethings missing
Its good to go home
When you life is going down a path that is less desirable
Its good to go  home

You may ask what is home. Home is that everlasting place we have with Jesus,

Come to Him, Go home to Him
Make Him your life Make Him your home
Make Jesus the Center!

God Bless you today!

11 Months???

Well lets think about this. Today is exactly 11 months till Christmas. What you gonna get me? HaHa, I know it is a long way off  (well not really, just think it is already Jan 25th). So now that we have almost a month of 2011 complete, how will you spend the rest of your year?

Will you be a witness for Jesus or will you just go day to day keeping safe your fire insurance. Isn't He worth talking about? Isn't He worth sharing to the world? Take a moment today to consider what you could do for Him.

All the water in the world, however
hard it tried,
Could never, never sink a ship
unless it got inside.
All the evil in the world, the
wickedness and sin,
Can never sink your soul’s fair craft
unless you let it in.

Go With Christ!

Today is the begining of what we may call the start of a new week, Monday! What you should do is Thank God that you woke up this morning, breathing the air around you, giving thanks would be awesome.

So let all say,  THANK YOU JESUS FOR THIS WONDERFUL DAY.

Go with Christ!

To Go or to Stay

From today until tomorrow
What if you were gone tomorrow
What if you were not able
To live past the end of today
What you  you leave for tomorrow

You ever have the feeling that you wanted to go
but you had the feeling you wanted to stay
You say you want to leave but you have
the feeling that you wanted to stay
Your so unsure whether to leave or to stay...

You know if you have any Idea that what tomorrow will bring
Just Live for Jesus and let Him be your guide
for you will never know what tomorrow will bring.

God Bless you

I Do Not Fight Like a Boxer Beating The Air

Do you have self discipline? When you are alone driving do you take the opportunity to spend time with God? When you are at home alone do you take that time to spend it with your Lord? There is a discipline that is needed in order to accomplish these things, but along with that there has to be a choice made in your life, the choice would be simple and should be simple, but we as human beings seem to make things more difficult than they need to be. The choice in this is do I serve God or not? When you make the choice to serve God it is the better choice, will it be easy? Will it become like second nature? This can happen but having this happen will take self discipline, not on your own, but with help from Jesus and your friends to keep you on tack.

1 Corinthians 9:24 - 27
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
If we work at it and keep the discipline up with the help of Jesus and not try to accomplish this on our we can finish the race!
So we can accomplish serving God and not hiding in our own self, but give your life to Him completely and you will be blessed.

God Bless you this day.

The Hustle and Bustle

So in all the days hustle and bustle of business I am constantly reminded of the past two Sunday messages Pastor Joel preached. They have had an impact on me.
From these messages I have been asking myself some questions.

What have I been doing?
Have I been the model of a Christian in my Life?
Have I been the one people can look up to to see that I have Christ in me?
Have I kept myself true to the calling of what God has for my life?

If you were to look at Hebrews 4:4-16 (NLT)
So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe.
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most

When we look to Jesus as our model to follow and to live our life by, we see that we cannot do it on our own. We need to look to Jesus for our help.

Romans 12:2 (NLT)
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

We can see that copying the world is not the answer, But living for God and letting him Transform you is the best possible solution for your life.

In doing this you can follow what  Colossians 1:3 (NLT) says
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

Remember you are living for Christ. Let your hearts be driven by Him and not by this world. You are a new Creation!

God Bless you this day.

I Sit Here and Wonder

So may times I sit here and wonder
Wonder at the way things have gone
Wonder at the way things are
I wonder...

So many time I think How I love you
I think my love could be better
I think on my own there is a struggle
I think...

So many times I gaze at your beauty
Your beauty is amazing
Your beauty is stunning
Your beauty...

So many times I marvel
Marvel at your kindness
Marvel at your love

You are so stunning
You are so Amazing
You are so Wonderful

Have You Ever Been Alone with God?

I read this and thought it was worth sharing. Bless your day!

His Solitude with Us. When God gets us alone through suffering, heartbreak, temptation, disappointment, sickness, or by thwarted desires, a broken friendship, or a new friendship— when He gets us absolutely alone, and we are totally speechless, unable to ask even one question, then He begins to teach us. Notice Jesus Christ’s training of the Twelve. It was the disciples, not the crowd outside, who were confused. His disciples constantly asked Him questions, and He constantly explained things to them, but they didn’t understand until after they received the Holy Spirit (see John 14:26).

As you journey with God, the only thing He intends to be clear is the way He deals with your soul. The sorrows and difficulties in the lives of others will be absolutely confusing to you. We think we understand another person’s struggle until God reveals the same shortcomings in our lives. There are vast areas of stubbornness and ignorance the Holy Spirit has to reveal in each of us, but it can only be done when Jesus gets us alone. Are we alone with Him now? Or are we more concerned with our own ideas, friendships, and cares for our bodies? Jesus cannot teach us anything until we quiet all our intellectual questions and get alone with Him.

The year's at the spring

The year's at the spring,
And day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hillside's dew-pearl'd;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in His heaven-
All's right with the world.

Robert Browning

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in You!

Psalm 84:11-12
The New King James Version

The King of Glory the Lord of Hosts, the Almighty Omnipotent One, the Everlasting Father, My Lord and Saviour, Jesus.

One can use many names to describe our Heavenly Father. Just as easy as one can curse. Is it easier to sin? I think it is as it is our nature, but with God's help we can overcome...

Lord Help me to Overcome my sin nature for I am a child in you.

All earthly delights are but “streams.” But God is the ocean

All earthly delights are but “streams.” But God is the ocean.  Jonathan Edwards

I we look at the broad life we live we find that we are but a speck. The designer of this universe has a grand scheme planed. We are just a cog in the wheel of the engine. Or as is says in the scriptures we are a part of the body, the body cannot function without all the parts. Just as it says in Corinthians.

1 Corinthians 12

12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.
13 For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
15 Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.
16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body.
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?
18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
19 If they were all one part, where would the body be?
20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!”
22 On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,
23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unrepresentable are treated with special modesty,
24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it,
25 so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
28 And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, of helping, of guidance, and of different kinds of tongues.
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?
30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?
31 Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.

We need to find our place in the body, be it serving or ministering to people, or just being someone who cleans. Everything we do, if we do it for the glory of God and keep in mind that we are not doing anything in His Service for ourselves we can get to that big Ocean call God.
Start your day out by committing every part of your day to God, Jesus is the answer, give it all to Him.

Never Ending Story

Have you ever thought of what life would be like if you lived in a movie? Imagine if you did and something happened to you ... you could rewind the movie and try it again... Well sounds good doesn't it? If it were only that easy. You live your life and if you were in a movie you could rewind and perhaps even pause it. But what kind of a life would that be? Always living the same story over and over. Imagine if you will a never ending story, one that hasn't been written yet. You go through your day and you are the one writing what will happen next. Decision's you may make actions you took in those decisions. There is one thing for sure with you writing the story is there is no rewind and the end is what ever you make it.

Now be sure that when you are writing your story that you keep in mind the Creator of all things, if it were not for Him you would not have a story to write.

Nevertheless I am continually with thee; thou dost hold my right hand. Thou dost guide me with thy counsel, and afterward thou wilt receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there is nothing upon earth that I desire besides thee. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.

Psalm 73:23-26 The Revised Standard Version

Heaven’s gate

I wrote this a while ago, I thought I would share.

The birds sing praises the rocks will cry out
Heaven rejoices with every shout,
When a soul comes to know Him
For eternity
All the angels sing praises to the King

Welcome to Heaven’s Gate
Your mansion is laying in wait
Your mission is complete now, Faithful son
Welcome home
Welcome home

Your heart seems empty well fill it with joy
Sing praises to Him, shout and rejoice
Your God He loves you
He sent his Son
To lift you high the battle’s been won!

Welcome to Heaven’s Gate
Your mansion is laying in wait
Your mission is complete now, Faithful son
Welcome home
Welcome home

Come Lord Jesus come
Fill our lives with your love
Make us new with the morning dew
Our voice sings along with the birds singing
Praises to you

Welcome to Heaven’s Gate
Your mansion is laying in wait
Your mission is complete now, Faithful son
Welcome home
Welcome home

He predestined, He also called

I was reading in Romans one day and as you read this it is quite  intriguing. Read through and tell me what you think our destiny is.

26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;
30 and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
32e who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?
33 Who will bring a charge against God’s elect? God is the one who justifies;
34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 Just as it is written,
“FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.”
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
As I read this I see that my destiny is to serve the Lord. I am predestined to be labourer for Christ and to be conformed to the Image of Christ.
So in our daily lives we are challenged to be like Christ. Can we do this? Not in our own strength but in the strength of the Lord Jesus,
