God on Our Side

Sometimes I wonder is it all worth it. I then see people like Joannie Rochette who won the Bronze Medal for Canada in Figure skating. Wow what a courageous young lady. Her mom died on Sunday this past week in Vancouver and yet Joannie was able to push through and win the Bronze.


We can all look at that and think that there is no way we can do that. Well with determination and perseverance we can accomplish anything.

We God on our side all things are possible with Him.

How many times do we have to sit here and wonder?
What will I do?
When all we have to do is to look to Him
The one who created us
The one who gave us life
We have such an opportunity to exceed
To exceed expectations

God have given us a gift, a gift of life
We need to look to Him to help us proceed in life.

A smile, caring

A warm embrace, heart warming

A gentle touch, anticipated

Thinking of you, always

Wanting you, every moment

Dreaming of you, no end near

Always in my heart

Always in my mind

The morning dew does not compare

Summers rain, only rain

A sunset with you

A night holding you

A morning waking

Reading together

Love in my heart grows

Every moment

As time passes

Strength From Within

Strength from within

I search and search

I look for and find that love

I look to find that

desire to move on

I search and see a heart

that makes one want to perfect

the abiltiy to serve our Saviour

Do I have the strength

to go forward?

Do I have the strength

to call him My Lord

In my heart I serve

In my mind I serve

but the spirit is willing oh so willing

the flesh is ever so weak

I see strength in people

I wonder how

How I might have that strength

Then Jesus says to me

I am your strength

Give it all to me

I will give you rest

My heart is full

My soul is at peace

I seek that love

I search out that perfect love

Just as I was

I was wondering why and how

Now I know

Jesus is the one Jesus loves

beyond anything I can do

I give you my soul

I give you my desires

Closer to the Heart

When we begin every day with the love of our life, your day should begin just as it did the day you got married. Eager anticipation to see the Love or your life.

I wrote this for a card but thought it is worth sharring.

A journey comes to an end

Reflection on life begins

Under the sun

Under the moon

Nothing seems the same

Stars are different

Life begins

This beginning seems like a dream

A dream long dreamed

Reality sets in

Rings

Wedding bands

Love signified

Forever love

For each other

Hearts entwined

Closer to the heart

Mirror Mirror

In the looking glass we see
Something that may not be me
We wonder and wonder
What can this mean?
When all of a sudden
There is someone staring at me

It startles us to almost a scream
When we catch our breath
It seems to be gone and
We relax just a little
And become complacent again

Our life seems ok until that looking glass
Starts to stair back at us again
We wonder if there is a way
To be free of this image in the mirror
We dream of the time we are free

We go here and go there
Looking for a way
To find freedom from the mirror
Looking for release from the burdens
Looking for anything that can free us

Today we look in the mirror and we scream
God, help us take that image away
Replace it with the likeness of You
Make our hearts clean and renewed

Now when we look in the mirror
We see a reflection of Jesus in Me
We have no need to scream
No need to be afraid
Of the reflection staring back at me
Cause Jesus made me free

Everlasting Light

Going through the day

Wondering if it is all worth the work

Looking at oneself inside and out

Thinking I am not worthy

But finding that it really doesn’t matter

How we find ourselves

There is one who will take us as we are

There is one who will give us a reason

There is one who will show us how

There is one who will guide us through

Jesus you are that one Who will walk with us and talk with us

Travis

Today is my son's 15th birthday, how the years have gone. I think back to the baby days, and how fun they might have been I am sure glad no diapers anymore.
It has been a wonderful 15 years and I look forward to more.

Travis Keep following Jesus and Keep Him the centre of your life. You are a very special young man, I know God has something for you. Remember to always give your struggles to Him. He will guide you.
