I am a Promise

You may remember a Sunday school song called "I Am A Promise"

I am a promise
I am a possibility
I am a promise with a capital "P"
I am a great big bundle of potentiality
And I am learnin' to hear God's voice
And I am tryin' to make the right choice
I am a promise to be anything God wants me to be.

I can go anywhere that He wants me to go
I can be anything He wants me to be
I can climb the high mountains
I can cross the wide sea
I'm a great big promise you see!

If you sit and reflect on that song and really think about it WOW it is a strong song.
In your prayer times you try to hear God's voice, but if you actually listen for Him you will hear Him speak to you. We should live our lives daily for Him. Listening for that still small voice, you know the voice I am talking about? The one that prompts you to not do something or to do something, Example? Well for me this past December I was going to a meeting and I parked my vehicle in the parkade and went to pay for my parking ticket. There was a young lady scrambling to find change to pay for her parking. She seemed quite frantic... I started a conversation and soon realized she was struggling to find the right amount of change, her options were to move her car and find other parking. I heard a voice within saying to me pay for it. So I did, I put in the change that was required and she got her parking. She was shocked and I just said to her have a great day.
I share this to say that I blessed her that day. I did it because I felt God tell me to. What did I gain? Well nothing saving the knowing that I listened.

There are many times in ones day that this happens and if we are in tune with what God wants for us we will here.

So the thing here is WE are a Promise and yes with a Capital "P". God has something for us daily we just need to listen.
