Love you Lorie

Our love is unconditional
we knew it from the start
I see it in your eyes
you can feel it from my heart
from here on after
let’s stay the way we are right now
and share all love & laughter
that a lifetime will allow
I cross my heart
and promise to
give all I’ve got to give
to make all your dreams come true
in all the world
you`ll never find
a love as true as mine
you will always be the miracle
that makes my life complete
& as long as there is a breath in me
I’ll make yours just as sweet
as we look into the future
it’s as far as we can see
so let’s make each tomorrow
the best it can be
and if along the way
we find a day
it starts to storm
you`ve got the promise of my love
to keep you warm
in all the world
you`ll never find
a love as true as mine

When a man Loves a Woman

You know the song with the line in it that says "When a man Loves a Woman" this line is quite a statement.

Starting at the beginning, when you find the one whom you are going to share your life with the love in your heart blossoms brightly, you feel something inside that aches when you don't see each other, when you don't get to talk. You know what is said "absence makes the heart grow stronger" well it is true. When I was dating Lorie we spent a lot of time together, but the times we were apart were so long.

Our love grew and grew, my heart was full, I was in heaven, so when you see the word or hear the phrase “When a man loves a Woman” you can truly appreciate them. Guys you need to love your wives with your whole heart, not just an action that can be played like a drama. You need to feel that longing when you are apart and you need to feel that aching when you have done something wrong to hurt the lady you love.

A woman’s heart is as delicate as a rose; you need to be ever so gentle with her. Your love in your heart anticipates that meeting after a time apart.

"The heart of woman is a precious treasure buried deep, but not outside the reach of the one who seeks to understand." - Craig Docksteader

I saw these words this morning and it prompted me to think of my wonderful wife. I love her so very much.

You know when you go on living your life in the same house as the one you are married to it is so easy to go on living and not communicating. I think a relationship built purely on the physical is not that good, but one that is built on God’s word and Love will last a lifetime.

With my love I will walk past her in the house and I will make an effort to gently touch her, Be it her arm or shoulder or other spots I care not to mention, thes e I call love touches and this is not so that I will benefit (although I do), but so that she knows that I am still in love with her, not by words, but by my gentle reminders. I know when my wife walks past me and touches me, be it the brushing or a kiss, I know she loves me. I anticipate it always.

Guys keep up your heart with God and Love your wives.

YOU DECIDE

Ahead, Behind
What did we leave?
The wake of time
Did we deceive?
Left or right
Straight ahead
The path
Oh the path
One must decide
Take the hard path
Take the easy path
With direction
with prayer
You decide
but not alone
Ask the Lord
to be your guide
to walk you through
Then decide
Don’t walk alone
Lord Guide Me!
Walk me through
To the path
going to you!

A Deck of Cards

I found this quite good so I thought I would share it.

This is a story about a soldier in the North Africa Campaign in World War II. After heavy fighting, the man returned to camp. The next day being Sunday, the Chaplain had set up church service.

The men were asked to take out their Bibles or Prayer Books. The Chaplain noticed one soldier looking at a deck of cards. After service, he was taken by the Chaplain to see the Major.

The Chaplain explained to the Major what he had seen. The Major told the young soldier he would have to be punished if he could not explain himself.

The young soldier told the Major that during the battle, he had neither a Bible or a Prayer Book so he would use his deck of cards and explained:

"You see, Sir, when I look at the ACE, it tells me that there is one GOD and no other.

When I see the "2", it reminds me that there are two parts of the Bible,
the OLD TESTAMENT and the NEW TESTAMENT.

The "3"tells me of the TRINITY OF GOD THE FATHER,
GOD THE SON and GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT.

The "4" reminds me of the FOUR GOSPELS,
MATTHEW, MARK, LUKE and JOHN.

When I see the "5", it tells me of the
FIVE UNWISE VIRGINS
who were lost and that five were saved.

The "6" makes me mindful that
GOD CREATED THE EARTH IN JUST SIX DAYS,
and GOD said that it was good.

When I see the "7", it reminds me that
GOD RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY.

As I look at the "8", it reminds me that
GOD DESTROYED ALL LIFE BY WATER EXCEPT FOR EIGHT PEOPLE,
Noah, his wife, their three sons, and their three son's wives.

When I see the "9", I think of the NINE LEPERS that GOD healed.
There were ten lepers in all, but only one stopped to thank him.

The "10" reminds me of the
TEN COMMANDMENTS carved in stone by the hand of GOD.

The "JACK" makes me remember the Prince of Darkness.
Like a roaring lion, he devours those that he can.

When I look at the "QUEEN", I see the
BLESSED VIRGIN MARY, MOTHER OF JESUS.

As I look at the last card, "THE KING", it reminds me that
JESUS IS LORD OF LORDS and KING OF KINGS!

There are 365 spots on a deck of cards,
and that is the number of days in each year.

There are 52 cards to a deck and
that is the number of weeks in a year.

There are 12 picture cards and
that is the number of months in a year.

There are 4 different suits in a deck and
that is the number of months in a quarter of a year...."

And so, the young soldier then said to the Major,
"You see, Sir, that my intentions were honorable.

My deck of cards serves as my BIBLE,
my PRAYER BOOK and my ALMANAC."

A deck of cards should most importantly remind us that we need
JESUS 365 days, 52 weeks and 12 months a year and
that we should always PRAY "4" others.

May you never look at a deck of cards the same way!

Excellent I am going to buy a deck of cards...God Bless You today!!!

GUYS LOVE YOUR WIVES

How many times do you sit there and wonder, wonder what you have done to honour your bride?

I think about this often and when I can say that I have honored her by at least one in a day I think I have accomplished much. I long for the day when the list is so long it is like a story.
Guys, honouring your Bride is one of the keys in Marriage. What do I mean by Honour? Well, let me list a few:

Respecting her
Loving her
Nurturing her
Holding her
Talking to her

You would go a long way if your time that you spend with your bride is only for her and not everyone else.
When you are spending the time with your bride you need to put away all the distractions that take away from her.
God has given you a Beautiful being and it is your job to keep her safe and loved.

For Lorie,
My most loving and Precious Bride,
I will do my best to honour and respect you
I am committed to our Marriage Vows
I am committed to you.
Lorie I Love you so very much

You know it takes very little effort. From the day Lorie and I started dating I would buy her flowers every month, and when were about to be married I was challenged to keep it up in our marriage. Well I did and every month for about 18 years I bought her flowers. I did stop only by her asking me to when we purchased a house. I still buy her flowers at times and usually when it is unexpected. (at least I think it is)

This is one simple way of loving her and showing her your love.
Do other things as well, surprise her with a romantic getaway, or with a evening out with you and only you (no cellphone).

GUYS LOVE YOUR WIVES.

Guard Your Heart!

Guys As your day passed by and you come to the evening, take time to reflect on how your day went.
Perhaps something like this.
You woke up this morning got ready for my day, sat in the computer room (did you pray or did you search the net for things not very edifying.) you had breakfast and then proceeded to work, on your way you cursed at the drivers. Then there was a girl walking by you took a good look at her. You went to work and went about your day, flirting with the female coworkers. You end your day at work and go home to your wife and family and not even thinking about what you did that day.

If you think about your day and you actually repent for your day. Whe you wake up in the morning and sit in your computer room, instead of doing no good, prepare yourself for your day. Read the Bible, pray, and you will get your heart prepared for your day so that when you do drive to work and you find  you wont be so angry and you wont have to look around at the girl walking down the steet.

God has give us all the tools we need in Ephesians 6:10-18

10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.

11Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the
world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having
     done everything, to stand firm.
14Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON
     THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
     15and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;
16in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming
     arrows of the evil one.
17And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all
perseverance and petition for all the saints,

Now I am not saying this is all you have to do this takes work constant work and keep youselves true to your wife.

All the best for the day.

Husbands, love your wives

Guys, there are time when you need to romance your special someone. I am not talking about just on Valentine’s Day; I am talking about every moment of every day. Did you know that a little gesture, a touch, a brush by or even a glace with a glint in your eye is something that makes your relationship exciting. An unexpected kiss or a massage or just sitting listening is something that guys fail to see as relevant.

You did a lot of these types of things when you were courting her, after the marriage is seemed to fade, why did it have too? Well I will tell you this... it doesn’t have to. It takes work, but doing that work and making your relationship as special as that first kiss or as exciting as the wedding night can be done. You have to be willing and you have to keep your eyes averted from things that distract you.

Looking at your wife with a look of love gives her that satisfaction. Make her feel that special feeling that she had when you asked her to marry you. Remember how that felt? You can have that same feeling all the time with your spouse.

Let me ask you this guys; if your day of work how many times do you think about your wife? When you think about her is it good? Or is it a complaint you have in your head about her? If you have things unresolved with her your thoughts a likely not good. If you have a great relationship and you have a trusting relationship then your thoughts of your wife are most likely good. Getting home after work and seeing her with anticipation on finding out how her day was, listening to her and just loving her goes farther than any flower. (Now don’t take that wrong, Bring her flowers or whatever you want, but not as an apology but as a gift of love).

You know when I think of my wife Lorie, I think what a BLESSED guy I am to have such a beautiful woman love me the way Lorie loves me. I feel a love inside that is excited to see her and to hold her.

You may think I have it perfected, well I do not. I mess up regularly and have to grovel like the next guy, (I think I have to find another word for SORRY). But you know if your relationship is built on trust and you have a godly foundation that sorry won’t be the end all. And dont use "Sorry" as a scapegoat for justification of what you have done, but mean it with your whole being.

You need to say to each other every day I LOVE YOU and mean it, don’t just make it as a phrase that doesn’t mean anything, kind of like someone you haven’t seen in a while and you do the old “how are you” when you really don’t care. With your wife you need to make sure you mean what you say, and not make it just another meaningless term

Ephesians - Chapter 5:25-33
25. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
26. to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
27. and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
28. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church-
30. for we are members of his body.
31. “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
32. This is a profound mystery-but I am talking about Christ and the church.
33. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself...

Just remember guys and I am Yelling this.

YOUR RELATIONSHIP TAKES WORK AND GUYS ARE YOU AFRAID OF A LITTLE WORK?

Have a great day loving your wife.
